Head Rifle Coach

Web Wright III, an Olympian and national champion, was named the Army West Point rifle coach on May 12, 2015. Wright became the 25th coach in the 87-year history of the program that was established in 1919. Wright's inaugural season as an intercollegiate head coach saw him lead his squad to a fourth-place finish at the Great America Rifle Conference (GARC) Championships along with defeating Navy en route to a 5-7 mark. Two members of his squad qualified for the NCAA Championships. Prior to taking over the head reigns, Wright played an integral role since 2012, his first year as the team's Officer Representative. Throughout his time with the Black Knights, rifle has made three NCAA appearances with four marksmen going on to earn All-America honors. The team also boasts four consecutive victories over service academy rival Navy.
